Arthur Smith's Balham Bash

On March 19th I had one of the most exciting, interesting, inspiring experiences of my life. It showed me what my life could be like if I go down the radio (media) route. I went to the recording of the comedian, Arthur Smith's radio programme (Arthur Smith's Balham Bash) As we entered the kitchen area we noticed a band playing in the corner surrounded by lights and flowers, I moved forward and tried to work out who the band was and to my amazement it was 'Scouting For Girls'. I was overjoyed; when I was younger I was a huge fan! I met the band before the recording. Plus I saw what skills you would need to become a radio researcher or even a publicist. It was a great day!!!

Four Weddings

 

 Today I helped my aunt to design the set of 'Four Weddings' in 60s style! I dressed the mannequins in 60s costumes and decorated them with stylish jewellery. It was an amazing day, which gave me so much insight into the designers world and television shows. What a day!

A teen review on 'The Little Dog Laughed'

“I would not advise any actor necessarily, if he was really thinking of his career, to come out…the fact of the matter is, and I don’t care who disagrees, it doesn’t work if you’re gay.”

That was Rupert Everett – good-looking, famous and gay – who you might remember dressing up in drag to play Miss Frinton, headmistress of St Trinians. The head girl of that school – Gemma Arterton – is one of the stars of The Little Dog Laughed, a story of identity and honesty. That makes it sound very serious – and there is a serious point that’s made – but more than that it’s funny and atmospheric and is a really good night out.

From the laughs to the cries, the LA celebrity is the person to be, but who knows about the real scene behind the cameras? The Little Dog Laughed stars Rupert Friend (Young Victoria), Tamsin Greig (Shawn Of The Dead), Gemma Arterton and Harry Lloyd  (Doctor Who and Robin Hood). 


Friend plays Mitchell, who is a young actor and who is also bisexual. He wants to come out and show everyone his true self, but he's worried it will ruin his whole career. Tamsin Greig's performance is hilarious as his agent who is determined to keep her star in the closet.
